Danish oil companies seek opportunities in Vietnam

The export promotion on October 9 - 13 takes the participating companies to Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Vung Tau, the offshore capital of Vietnam.

Half-day seminars are organised in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City on 9 and 10 October, respectively. The seminars have been arranged by the Embassy of Denmark in cooperation with Petrovietnam, the key player within the oil and gas industry in Vietnam.

The Danish companies came to explore the promising potentials of Vietnam?Ts oil and gas industry, Danish Ambassador Peter Lysholt Hansen said at the seminar held in Hanoi Monday.

With sophisticated technology and know-how in their separate fields, Danish offshore companies were able to provide needed equipment for the industry, the ambassador said.

The Danish companies cover a wide range of expertise, from marine boiler solutions, safety services, and sophisticated protective coatings, via sonar solutions and vapour recovery technology to water and environment related consultancy, underwater services, and a contractor with a fully modern fleet of mobile drilling rigs and production units.

Companies in the Danish delegation include Aalborg Industries, Aker Kvaerner Cool Sorption, DHI Water & Environment, Hempel, Maersk Contractors, and Reson A/S.
