Thứ 2, 12.4.2010 Asian Stocks Higher on Dow, Greece Bailout

Asian stock markets trekked higher on Monday, after the Dow climbed above 11,000 for the first time in a year-and-a-half and on news that the EU governments approved a mega $40 billion emergency rescue package for Greece.
In Japan, the benchmark Nikkei [JP;N225 11330.27 125.9297 (+1.12%) ] rose 89.17 points to 11,293.51. The broader Topix rose 0.7 percent to 996.41.

Seoul shares opened higher on Monday helped by key techs and banks including Hynix and Shinhan Financial, with the Bank of Korea's hike to its 2010 economic growth forecast
boosting the market further.
The Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) was up 0.38 percent at 1,731.09 points.
In Australia, the benchmark S&P ASX 200 [AU;XJO 4984.4 36.308 (+0.73%) ] traded 0.7 percent higher.
