After the successful establishment of the first University, FPT corporation launched its second private university in Vietnam, FPT University of Computer Knowledges (F.U.C.K). F.U.C.K students (a.k.a F.U.C.Kers) will be provided with the lastest IT falcilities, including the wireless broadband service from a unit of FPT Telecom, WiMax for Home and Office Remote Extension (W.H.O.R.E). W.H.O.R.E is responsible for ensuring that F.U.C.Kers are always in ready condition to study new technologies and techniques.

FPT`s biggest company, FPT Integration Service, has changed its focus to High-techs solutions only, and changed its name to FPT Integration Service of High-technology (F.I.S.H). F.I.S.H has researched and developed its own network deployment methodology, System Hard Integration Techniques (S.H.I.T). During 2010, more than 300 companies in Vietnam have used S.H.I.T to build their information systems. Many companies even modified and improved S.H.I.T to adapt with their own scenarios. The most notable case is Baoviet with Baoviet Unified Legacy Logics S.H.I.T (B.U.L.L.S.H.I.T). B.U.L.L.S.H.I.T was rewarded "S.H.I.T of the year" by F.I.S.H.

FPT Distribution Channels also made remarkable improvement in 2010 with 2 new programmes: Distribution and Introduction Channel Knowledgebase (D.I.C.K) and Product User Satisfaction SurveY (P.U.S.S.Y). While D.I.C.K aims at providing potential customers a comprehensive database of FDC`s services, products, distribution network and showrooms, P.U.S.S.Y collects customers feedbacks to measure the efficiency and profitability of each channel. D.I.C.K and P.U.S.S.Y are 2 undetachable parts and contribute a lot to FDC`s successes. Both of them are products of F.U.C.Kers but P.U.S.S.Y utilizes W.H.O.R.E?Ts infrastructure to simplify the data gathering process.

FPT Mobile has cooperated with Hutchison to distribute the latest 3rd generation mobile phones and to bring into operation a 3G network. FPT Mobile has converted a lot of users from other mobile phone networks to its 3G service. 2009,2010 and 2011 are the 3-G Aggregation YearS (3-GAYS) for FPT Mobile.

FPT Software Solution, the least known company, has made incredible achievements with a security system to protect software users from possible attacks, namely Application Security System for Home, Orgranisations and Large Enterprises (A.S.S.H.O.L.E). A.S.S.H.O.L.E is adopted quickly by domestic companies just as S.H.I.T was and brough millions of dollars of revenue for FSS.

Finally, while other FPT companies focus on technology advancement and customer satisfaction, FPT Software`s strategy is to increase profit by reducing human factor overhead in software processes. The most important activity was development of a technology that can automatically audit and patch software products. The system is called Software Upgrade and Correction Kits (S.U.C.K) and is still in beta. At the moment, it is being evaluated by selected users (S.U.C.Kers). Most of current S.U.C.Kers are F.U.C.Kers.

Intel, Texas và Citi họp Hội nghị trù bị đầu tư chiến lược, Bình chủ trì. Bình cho các nữ thư ký cởi trần, bôi nhọ nồi vào ngực, bắt múa đãi các nhà đầu tư chiến lược. Cuối cùng, chọn 3 cô đẹp nhất cho ngồi cạnh 3 vị Intel, Texas và Citi. Bỗng đèn đuốc tắt hết. Hồi lâu đèn nến mới sáng lên. Thì thấy tay Intel nhọ đen nhẻm, mũi Texas cũng bị đen.

Bình nghĩ bụng: "Intel khua khuắng cả nữ thư ký của ta, thế nào nó cũng lấy FSoft, Texas ngửi cả nữ thư ký của ta, thế nào nó cũng lấy FDC, chỉ có Citi là oai phong, không làm mất đi uy thế, xứng đáng làm cổ đông ?otrứng luộc? với FPT!".
Bình bèn khen Citi ?oxứng danh anh hùng?. Citi khoái quá, cười nhe răng. Răng và lưỡi đều đen thui... ^_^

THÔNG BÁO v/v chuyển đổi mệnh giá Cổ phiếu và mở tài khoản chứng khoán

1. Công ty sẽ nhanh chóng tiến hành việc chuyển đổi mệnh giá cho cổ phiếu của Công ty theo như quy định tại Điều lệ công ty. Chi tiết việc thực hiện chuyển đổi mệnh giá Công ty sẽ gửi thông báo cụ thể cho các Cổ đông sau.

2. Để tạo thuận lợi cho tiến trình niêm yết của Công ty, Công ty trân trọng kính đề nghị Quý cổ đông nên tiến hành mở tài khoản lưu ký và giao dịch chứng khoán tại Công ty Chứng khoán Ngân hàng Đầu tư và Phát triển Việt nam (BSC). Chi tiết việc mở tài khoản như sau:
+ Các cổ đông tiến hành mở tài khoản tập trung từ ngày 25/10/2006 đến ngày 08/11/2006
+ Các cổ đông trong Công ty đến lấy mẫu tại Phòng kế toán các đơn vị và khai nộp tại Phòng kế toán đơn vị mình.

Vietnamese technology company FPT Corporation announces landmark US$36.5 million investment from TPG and Intel Capital

Hanoi, Vietnam ?" October 24, 2006 ?" FPT Corporation, a leading information and communications technology (ICT) provider in Vietnam, today announced it issued new shares to private equity firm Texas Pacific Group (TPG) and Intel Capital, the venture capital organization of Intel Corporation.

Under the terms of the agreement, FPT received a total investment of US$36.5 million, from TPG, through its TPG Ventures fund, and Intel Capital. This marks one of the largest cross-border investments into Vietnam by leading global investment firms, underlining the long-term confidence that institutional investors have in the country.

"FPT is already an information-communications technology leader in Vietnam. We intend to leverage the capabilities and financing from leading investors TPG and Intel Capital to enter new business lines and to expand internationally," said Truong Gia Binh, CEO of FPT. "This is a landmark occasion for both Vietnam and FPT. We believe this deal underscores the potential and capabilities within Vietnam and is a milestone in the country?Ts efforts towards joining the WTO."

FPT reported 2005 revenues of more than US$517 million, and revenue growth averaging 70 percent annually over the past five years, making it one of the largest private technology companies in Vietnam by revenue. FPT leads the industry in terms of sales or subscribers in many of its business lines in Vietnam, which include mobile distribution, systems integration, software services, telecom, Internet and e-media content. FPT also reports 28,000 students enrolled in its technological training academies throughout the country, since 1999.

With the infusion of capital and global expertise from the investment firms, FPT intends to explore new product and services lines. The company, which is already a software-development services provider to Japan, also will have increased capability to expand its products and services to other geographies. Additionally, Vivek Paul, a partner with TPG, will serve as Special Strategic Advisor to FPT, bringing his global technology industry experience and leadership to help FPT achieve its global ambitions.

Sing Wang, a partner with TPG based in Hong Kong, said, "This is a historic deal for TPG in Vietnam, which is an increasingly enticing destination for outsourced services and foreign investment." Tim Dattels, also a partner with TPG, added, "In partnering with FPT, we are joining with Vietnam?Ts national champion in the ICT industry."

Arvind Sodhani, President of Intel Capital, said, "Our investment in FPT reflects Intel Capital?Ts global presence and reach in emerging markets, and is a testament to our continuing efforts to encourage entrepreneurship and technology innovation worldwide. TPG?Ts Paul said "Vietnam has the second-highest annual GDP growth rate in Asia-Pacific, behind only China, a literacy rate of over 96 percent, a rapidly growing middle class, and a government committed to economic reform. These are all key building blocks that allow a country to compete globally."

At nearly US$50 billion, the GDP of Vietnam has averaged 7.5 percent annual growth since 2001, with a high of 8.4 percent last year. According to research by investment bank NM Rothschild & Sons, Ltd., the advisor on the deal, exports between January and July of this year topped US$22 billion, a year-over-year increase of 25 percent; foreign direct investment into the country reached US$5.8 billion last year, a 37 percent increase over 2004.

Varun Kapur, managing director, Intel Capital Asia Pacific, added, "This first-of-its-kind investment is a milestone for Vietnam, and reflects Intel Capital?Ts confidence in the market and its business climate. Venture investing has the potential to contribute significantly to the growth of Vietnam?Ts IT industry."

This deal highlights the core investment strategies of both TPG Ventures and Intel Capital, which support profitable and innovative enterprises with solid management teams that are well positioned in their respective fields. The ICT market in Vietnam has been growing 20 percent annually and is valued at over US$800 million, according to research by Rothschild. The number of Internet users in Vietnam is predicted to climb to nearly 13 million this year from only 500,000 in 2000. The number of Internet and mobile phone users in Vietnam is growing the fastest of any country in Asia-Pacific. The country?Ts mobile subscribers are increasing at nearly 63 percent each year.
