Vietnam''s Inflation to Slow to 1% in July, Nguoi Lao Dong Says

July 21 (Bloomberg) -- Vietnam''s inflation will slow to about 1 percent in July from the previous month, Nguoi Lao Dong newspaper reported, citing Le Xuan Nghia, general director of the central bank''s banking development strategy department.

The trade deficit will be significantly narrower in July, the paper said. Vietnam''s economy is also showing signs of strengthening in the second half, and the exchange rate has become more stable, Nghia said, according to the paper.

Inflation rose 2.1 percent in June from the previous month after increasing 3.9 percent in May from April, the General Statistics Office reported.
